WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Offering One’s Suffering in Hope
Pause for a moment in the middle of the day to refocus yourself in the Lord’s presence and listen attentively to His voice. In this silence, bring before Him what you are carrying with you and meditate on these words:
“I now wish to address you, dear brothers and sisters afflicted by illness, to invite you to offer your suffering to the Father together with Christ, in the certainty that every trial accepted with resignation merits and draws divine benevolence upon all humanity.” (Pope Benedict XVI, 2006)
The Lord invites you to be a bearer of hope to the people around you who are suffering from depression. Ask Him to help you accompany your brothers and sisters with gentleness and faith.
Unite yourself to the Lord through the prayer of the month
