WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Responsibility for Peace
As you welcome this new day, gratefully acknowledge the gift of God’s life within you.
“To whom much has been given, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48)
His Word reminds you that every gift brings with it a responsibility, but He does not want this demand to overwhelm you. He desires you to have a free heart, filled with His peace.
Ask Him to teach you to embrace your responsibility without letting yourself be overwhelmed by excessive guilt that harms your mental health and inner peace. Ask Him to grant you clarity and serenity to act with truth and compassion.
Offer this day to Him for the Pope’s intention and for the Church to be attentive to the hearts and minds of all people. Amen.
