WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
God Is Merciful | Nativity of John the Baptist
We begin this new day with gratitude. Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist.
โNo, he is to be called John.โ (Lk 1:57โ66, 80) With these resolute words, Elizabeth surprises her neighbors and relatives at the birth of her son. John means, translated: God is merciful.
Lord, without your help we can do nothing. Help us, like St. John, to prepare the way for you in our lives and in this world.
With the Offering Prayer, we express our willingness to live this day as a prayer, not alone, but united with the Prayer Network.
