WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Trust and Peace in the Spirit
With a grateful heart at the beginning of this new day, contemplate the Annunciation of the Lord:
“Mary, do not be afraid, for you have found favor with God. You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, whom you will name Jesus. (...) ‘How can this be, since I do not know man?’ The angel answered her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you’” (Lk 1:30-31, 34-35).
Listen to Mary’s question, “How can this be?” and let it echo in your own heart. Ask yourself: What fears and insecurities live within me that could lead me to violence or division? Have I asked the Lord how to act so as to sow peace around me? Do I allow myself to be led and guided by the Holy Spirit in my decisions?
Offer this day to the Lord with a heart open to the mission and united with the Pope’s intentions for this month, to sow peace and dialogue among all.
