A nationwide collection is being held in churches across Italy on Sunday, 26 July, to support victims of Venezuela's devastating earthquakes. The Italian Bishops' Conference, through Caritas Italiana, has promoted the initiative and already allocated 500,000 euros for emergency relief. Over 5,500 people have died, with thousands more injured and displaced. The United Nations warns that an additional 80 million dollars is still needed to sustain relief operations. Funds will provide water, food, hygiene kits, and essential medicines.
