Jordanian airstrikes in Syria's southern Daraa province have killed at least seven people, including three children, three men and a woman. The Jordanian military stated that the operations targeted terrorist hideouts in retaliation for a deadly attack on a church, while Damascus denied prior coordination and protested the military action inside Syrian territory.

Following the strikes, Syria closed the Nasib border crossing with Jordan, suspending all passenger and commercial traffic due to security concerns as rescue teams continue to search for more victims.
