President Daniel Ortega announces there will be no more elections in Nicaragua, marking the 47th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution. The announcement follows constitutional reforms that extended the presidential term and made his wife co-president. Ortega, in power since 2007, has previously cracked down on opposition, with at least 46 political prisoners currently detained.
