Syria’s Minister for Labour and Social Affairs, Hind Kabawat, stated that interreligious and interethnic dialogue is vital for rebuilding the country following a decade of civil war. Serving as the only woman and Christian minister in the transitional government, Kabawat follows the legacy of her mentor, Italian Jesuit priest Father Paolo Dall’Oglio. She emphasized that compromise, rule of law, and the active participation of women and diverse religious communities are essential for national reconstruction.
