Talks in Oman are showing signs of strain as U.S.-Iran tensions escalate. The United States has called on Iran to publicly guarantee the Strait of Hormuz is open. Negotiations are scheduled for Saturday, but the process appears faltering. A detail worth reflecting on: Tehran privately told Trump advisers the recent attacks on ships were a mistake, blaming a rogue internal faction, while Trump threatened severe retaliation over an alleged assassination plot. Amid these tensions, the West Bank also sees continued displacement and demolitions.
