WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Lord of Life, do not stay far away!
I thank you, Lord, for this new week you have given me to seek you and to seek the life of abundance that you offer me at every hour of the day. Teach me to recognize your presence by my side, and allow me to work with you, sharing with others the joy you place in my heart.
The sick woman came up behind Jesus and touched the hem of his cloak, thinking to herself, โIf I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.โ (Matthew 9:18โ26)
Just as that woman received life from you, Lord, allow us to touch your cloak of mercy and tenderness, and fill our hearts with what we need and what the wounded people around me need. Make me a peacemaker, in harmony with the words of our Pope Leo:
โGod does not bless any conflict,โ and whoever is a โdisciple of Christโ is never on the side of โthose who yesterday wielded the sword and today drop bombs.โ
