WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Good morning, Lord!
You give me, Lord, a new day of life. You lovingly walk alongside me, just as you tell us in todayโs Gospel:
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in the synagogues. He proclaimed the good news of the Kingdom and healed every kind of disease and sickness. When he saw all those people, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:32-38)
Lord Jesus, today we pray together with the Pope that all your sons and daughters may receive the gift of your care, for there is much suffering and too many people who are weary and helplessโฆ. And perhaps I myself am one of them. May your compassion teach us to care for our own lives and to be shepherds to others.
I conclude this moment by saying my offering prayer for the day, praying for the Popeโs intention for this month.
