Monthly day of prayer for mental health
Mental Health Care is a Gift from God
Today is the monthly day of prayer for mental health. This month the Popeโs prayer intention is for children with incurable diseases.
Todayโs Gospel reading is about how the sick were miraculously healed by Jesus by touching โonly the tassel on his cloakโ. For those of us with children who live with a mental illness this Gospel give us hope.
The medical sciences of psychiatry and psychology are gifts from God. May mental health care be accessible to every child who lives with a mental illness. May they and their families be given both pastoral care and professional support.
