The Way of the Heart reminds us that we live in a broken world. There are over 12,000 nuclear weapons in the world. Living under the threat of nuclear destruction does not create mental wellbeing; it creates anxiety and diminishes mental health.
Pope Leo said that โthe temptation to have recourse to powerful and sophisticated weapons needs to be rejected.โ
Effective disarmament is not weaknessโit is a commitment to protecting the dignity and mental health of future generations.
