Receive with Openness, Give with Generosity
We have been given a new day. Just as the sunโs rays find their way through the clouds, Your grace, God, always reaches us anew.
Today the Church commemorates the holy apostle Barnabas. In the Gospel, we hear about the sending out of the disciples. As He sends them on their way, Jesus tells them: โYou received without payment; give without payment.โ (Mt 10:7โ13)
What have we received freely in our lives? How can we pass on some of that grace today?
Lord, grant us the spirit of generosity.
We live this day as prayer and recite the Prayer of Offering.
