Sacred Heart of Jesus – Open to the World
With what inner disposition do we begin this new day? We consciously place ourselves in Your loving presence and allow ourselves to be illuminated by Your light.
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus—a heart open to the world, to its wounds and its struggles. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.” (Mt 11:15–30)
Lord, shape our hearts according to Your Heart. Welcome our desire and our effort; grant us a moment of rest upon Your breast.
United with the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, we pray the Prayer of Offering.
