WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Lighting God's Dawn
Take time in the afternoon to turn your thoughts and heart to the Lord.
"Saint Stephen is falsely accused and brutally stoned, but in the darkness of hatred, in the torment of stoning, he makes the light of Jesus shine: he prays for his killers and forgives them, like Jesus on the cross. He is the first martyr, that is, the first witness, the first of a host of brothers and sisters who, to this day, continue to bring light into the darkness: people who respond to evil with good, who do not give in to violence and lies, but break the spiral of hatred with the gentleness of love. These witnesses light up the dawn of God in the nights of the world" (Pope Francis).
Ask the Lord to teach your heart to be open to forgiveness.
Recite the monthly prayer for the Pope's prayer intention.
