WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Before You, Lord
On this Holy Monday, thank the Lord for another day in which you can recognize His presence in your life.
Reflect on today’s Gospel, in which Mary, a friend of Jesus, “took a pound of very costly perfumed oil made from pure nard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair” (Jn 12:3).
Notice how Mary gives the best she has. Let her humble gesture of gratuitous love inspire you to consider what Jesus means to you and the best you have to offer Him. In this month of prayer for disarmament and peace, ask the Lord to enlighten world leaders so that they may act with wisdom and compassion.
Offer this day to the Lord, praying that His peace may be manifested in your actions and words…
