WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
When Night Falls Upon You
Give thanks for this new day and for the faithful presence of Jesus, even when you feel fragile. Remember His words to Peter: “Where I am going, you cannot follow me now; you will follow me later” (Jn 13:36). Peter promised to give his life for Jesus, but he did not yet know his own fragility.
Reflect on this: Jesus knows your faults even before you fall, yet He does not abandon you. How many times have you made commitments to peace and dialogue, only to give in to harsh words, hardness of heart, or betrayal of your values? Remember that Jesus remains with you, even when “night falls” and you lose your way.
Ask yourself: Where do I need to recognize my fragility today in order to let myself be guided by God? How can I be an instrument of peace, not by my own strength, but by His grace?
Pray that the Holy Spirit may make you a friend and apostle of Jesus, available for His mission. With Mary, offer your day for the Pope’s intention.
