Chad: Comboni mission turns diversity into fraternity - Vatican News

Michael Brown · · News about the Church
Five Comboni Missionary Sisters from three continents are serving the local community in Deressia, located in the Laï Diocese of southern Chad. Established in 2003 in a remote and isolated area, the international community accompanies the local population through education, healthcare services, and youth formation.

The sisters manage a local school with 400 students, the Star of the Morning healthcare centre, and the Foyer Bethlemme project which supports young girls from distant villages. Through their daily pastoral and social commitment, they foster fraternity and coexistence among diverse ethnic and religious groups.
