European bishops call for peace in Ukraine and around the world - Vatican News

During its plenary assembly in Salzburg, the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences issued an appeal calling for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and war-torn regions. The bishops emphasized that true peace begins in the human heart and is built through forgiveness, prayer, and acts of reconciliation.

Furthermore, Archbishop Gintaras Grušas was confirmed as president for the 2026–2031 term, while the assembly also discussed evangelization, synodality, and the mission of priests in Europe.
