Thousands of Catholic faithful from across Kenya gathered at the Subukia National Marian Shrine in the Diocese of Nakuru for the 2026 National Prayer Day, organised by the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops under the theme of peace and reconciliation. The annual gathering brought pilgrims together for prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and reflection as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election. The event was also marked by sorrow following a tragic road accident involving pilgrims travelling from the Archdiocese of Mombasa.
