WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Be and Give without Measure
Today, take a moment to give thanks for the gift of the week that is beginning, asking to live it with God and for God.
“Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful’” (Lk 6:36).
Jesus invites you today to resemble God the Father. This may seem impossible because of the greatness of His love, yet it becomes possible when you open your heart to the grace He desires to give you.
Which of His qualities do you wish to cultivate: a kind gaze, tenderness, forgiveness, compassion? Ask the Lord for the grace to give generously the love you yourself receive without measure.
Pray for peoples living in conflict, that instead of nurturing war, violence, and hatred, they may choose peace, dialogue, and respond with love.
Offer this day to the Lord by praying the Prayer of Offering.
