WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Vocation and Community
Solemnity of Corpus Christi
For a moment, we quietly focus on our breath, which gives us life and unites us to You, our Creator. This day is Your day. With gratitude, we remember Your Resurrection.
In the Gospel, we hear about the tax collector’s calling and the banquet at his house with Jesus and some well-known sinners. This call and this table fellowship stir up discontent. “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick” (Mt 9:9–13), Jesus replies.
Where do we judge others hastily? Whom do we exclude from the community? And where do we feel that we need Jesus as our doctor? Lord, help us to understand how great Your mercy is.
United with the Worldwide Prayer Network, we try to live this day as a prayer and end our morning prayer with the Prayer of Offering.
