WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Following Jesus
On this First Friday of the month, the World Day of Prayer for the Evangelization of Cities, I realize, Lord, that life is simple: all I need to do is follow You.
You are alive, present within me as my Creator and my Savior. You set me free by giving me a place beside You: โIf anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.โ (Mt 16:24โ25)
My secret today will be to forget myself. You have come for me and for others.
Take my life; place my heart once more beside the Heart of Your Son, Jesus.
This morning, I join with all those throughout the world who are praying the monthly prayer.
