WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord
At dawn, I receive the light and awaken to praise.
Today we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Jesus revealed his glory to three apostles, chosen to keep the faith alive on behalf of all when He was led to His death. Cities know suffering and death. The transfigured Jesus receives his glory from the Father, whose voice resounded: โThis is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.โ (Mt 17:5)
My God, You are great; You are beautiful. And You invite me to bring Your love to this world to make it more beautiful.
I offer myself to You so that friendship may grow, respect may flourish, suffering may be eased, and we may regain trust in Your light. Guide my steps.
I make this offering to You.
