WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Interceding for the City
The day has begun, and I awaken to your call, Lord. Hear the cry of the people rising up to You.
Todayโs Gospel reminds us of the healing of a man with epilepsy: he would fall into the fire or into the water. He suffered greatly, and Jesusโ disciples were puzzled: โWhy couldnโt we drive it out?โ Jesus said to them, โBecause of your little faith.โ (Mt 17:19โ20)
Yes, Lord, I believeโbut so little, so feebly. Come to the aid of my lack of faith. But at least hear my intercession for those in the city who suffer injustice or loneliness. May they find an answer; may someone be there to listen to them.
Domingo de Guzmรกn, pray for us.
I make my offering prayer.
