WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Active Compassion
During this afternoon break, take a moment to reflect on these questions: How are you living out this morning’s resolutions? Have you been attentive to the presence of the Lord in your life?
Pray for children with incurable diseases on this World Day of the Sick. Ask the Lord to bless the hands of doctors, nurses, and caregivers, so that their work may always be an expression of active compassion. May His Spirit guide them in every difficult decision and grant them patience and tenderness to serve with dignity.
Reflect on your own attitudes: Are you patient and humble in the midst of your own pain and the suffering of others?
Pray the prayer for this month’s intention, asking for the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes.
