WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Praying with Perseverance
This morning, offer everything you are and ask for the grace to believe in the wonderful power of prayer.
“She came and knelt at his feet... She begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.” (Mk 7:25-26)
Remember what Pope Francis said: “Jesus praises the Syrophoenician woman who insists on asking for her daughter's healing. This perseverance can be exhausting, but it is precisely an attitude of prayer.”
Keep in mind St. Augustine’s words: “When our prayer is not heard, it is because we ask badly, with little faith, without perseverance or without humility.”
Pray your offering prayer this morning with a persevering heart.
