WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
World Day of the Sick
Under the gaze of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Church celebrates World Day of the Sick today.
This morning, offer your prayers for one sick person who is particularly close to your heart, and for all those who suffer.
“Nothing that enters a person from outside can defile them; it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” (Mk 7:15)
Remember that Jesus teaches that everything God has created is good; it is our twisted intentions that can corrupt what we do.
Through the prayer of offering, place before the Lord your desire to care for the little things with tenderness, to listen, and to be close—knowing that closeness itself is a remedy for the soul.
