WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Entering into God’s Rest
I pause for a moment, Lord, to step back and rest in You. Amid the sometimes demanding pace of life, I recognize how much inner tiredness can invade the heart and overshadow hope.
“Sadness, apathy, and spiritual weariness end up dominating people’s lives, overwhelmed as they are by the pace of life [...] Let us be close to those who are exhausted, to those who are desperate, voiceless, and without hope.” Pope Francis (2021).
You wait for me during this time of rest to restore my courage and peace; You invite us to the banquet of Your love.
You call us to be close to those who are exhausted, discouraged, voiceless, and without hope. Teach me to pay attention to these people with sincere and true love, and to welcome myself as well with kindness.
Before the Good Father, I pray the prayer of the month for Mental Health Ministry throughout the world.
