WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Divine Mercy Sunday
Begin this Sunday, the Lord’s Day, by opening your heart and allowing yourself to be sent: “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” (Jn 20:19–31)
“With these words, he entrusts to the apostles a task that is not so much a power as a responsibility: to be instruments of reconciliation in the world. It is as if he were saying: ‘Who can proclaim the merciful Face of the Father if not you, who have experienced failure and forgiveness?’” (Pope Leo XIV)
As you pray the prayer of offering, place yourself in the Lord’s hands and allow yourself to be sent to be an instrument of his mercy among your brothers and sisters.
