During this brief pause, we draw our hearts close to the Heart of Jesus. Let us take notice of what stirs within us.
Reflecting on St. Thomas Aquinasโ insights on play and physical activity, we are reminded that moderation has an important place in a virtuous life. As Pope Leo notes, this does not refer only to work or serious occupations, but also requires time for play and rest.
Let us ask ourselves: Do we take enough time for rest and leisure? Where in our lives is there excess, and where is there lack?
