WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Are you capable of drinking the cup that I am about to drink?
I begin the day by giving thanks to the Lord and listening to his Word:
โYou know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and the great ones make their authority over them felt. But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave.โ (Mt. 20:25-27)
Service is the path that Jesus teaches his disciples to follow; today we take up the baton and live out our commitment in the defense of life and human dignity. How am I making this commitment a reality in my daily life?
I conclude by saying my offering prayer for the day and praying for the Popeโs intention for this month.
