WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Authority to Believe
Today let yourself be challenged by the question posed to Jesus: By what authority?
"By what authority are you doing these things?… Have faith in God" (Mk 11:27–33).
His authority comes from the Father and is recognized by its fruits, which are truth, mercy, and inner freedom. Ask Him to give you a concrete faith, capable of guiding your decisions and not just your thoughts. May neither impulse, nor whim, nor haste rule over you. Ask Him to teach you to exercise “authority” over your habits so that you may care for what you receive—especially food—and not take for granted what others need.
Offer Him this day so that your trust in Him may be transformed into deeds. Amen.
