WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
A Discerning Heart
Mt 13:47-53
Thank you for this new day; I open my heart and prepare myself to listen to your Word.
Lord Jesus, the parable of the net reminds me that life is made up of decisions and choices. Today I ask you for an attentive heart to discern what comes from You. Help me to recognize what fosters life, brotherhood, and love, and to turn away from everything that destroys or divides.
May my words, actions, and decisions help create more humane and welcoming environments. In this month when we pray for respect for human life, teach me to always choose what protects, dignifies, and accompanies the most vulnerable. May your Spirit guide my steps throughout this day.
I pray the offering prayer.
