WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
What Truly Matters
Lord, this evening I reflect with you on what has filled my heart today. I recall the words of St. Ignatius of Loyola: โIt is not a great deal of knowledge that fills and satisfies the soul, but rather the inner feeling and savoring of thingsโ (Spiritual Exercises, Note 2).
Help me to distinguish between what is superficial and what truly nourishes my inner life. Thank you for the moments when I was able to experience your closeness. May my heart learn to seek what endures and to let go of what distances me from You. You are the wealth that does not pass away and the joy that no one can take away.
I pray the prayer of the month.
