WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Saint Ignatius of Loyola
Seeing with New Eyes
I thank you for this new dawn; here I am, ready to serve.
Lord Jesus, today we reflect on how many of your fellow countrymen failed to recognize your presence because they thought they knew you too well. It can happen to me, too, when routine prevents me from discovering new ways of your love.
In memory of St. Ignatius of Loyola, I ask for the grace to see reality with fresh eyes and an open heart. Help me to find you in people, in events, and in the little things of each day. May I never grow used to your presence or cease to be amazed by your actions. Renew my ability to admire, give thanks, and serve.
I offer you my day with total surrender, praying the offering prayer.
