Pope at Angelus: Let us not retreat into our convictions but be open to Christ - Vatican News

Pope Leo XIV at the Angelus encouraged developing a personal relationship with Jesus and renewing it daily, allowing Christ to transform lives and the world even through unfamiliar paths. Speaking in St. Peter's Square on August 23, he reflected on the Gospel question Jesus asks his disciples: who do you say that I am? The Pope warned against reducing faith to habit or retreating into one's own convictions, and said people should remain open to an authentic relationship with Christ and follow new pastoral choices.
