At the Sunday Angelus, Pope Leo XIV said Christ truly satisfies humanity's hunger. Reflecting on the Gospel miracle of the loaves and fishes, he explained that encountering the Lord is a nourishing experience, and with Christ our needs are abundantly met.

He warned that greed is a spiritual sickness that numbs the senses and makes people forget those who hunger and thirst. The miracle of charity culminates in the Last Supper, and the Pope invited the faithful to bear witness to the beauty of the Eucharist in daily actions.

He asked the Virgin Mary, our loving Mother, to help us grow in charity, so that no one lacks daily bread.
