Pope Leo XIV, after praying the Angelus in Castel Gandolfo, urged a return to dialogue amid renewed conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, warning that the winds of war must not extinguish hope. On Sea Sunday, he expressed closeness to seafarers and port workers whose already difficult conditions are worsened by military tensions. He also prayed for Polish pilgrims journeying to Jasna Góra, that they may be joyful witnesses to the Gospel. The Holy Father’s words call for peace and solidarity with those who sustain global trade through quiet labor.
