WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Gift from God
Upon waking, Lord, my soul praises You. Today I thank You because every day I enjoy the life-giving water You give me, just as Your Word does.
I meditate on your Gospel: โBut he said to them, โI must proclaim the Kingdom of God to the other towns as well, for that is why I was sentโโ (Lk 4:38โ44). Your Word, Lord, exhorts and challenges me. Proclaiming your Kingdom, Lord, also means caring for and protecting your work of creation.
Reflecting on this monthโs intention, I ask myself: What way of life should I adopt and promote to protect water, this vital resource?
I offer you this day, praying the daily offering prayer. I want to unite my heart with yours, Lord, making myself available for your mission of compassion.
