WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Promoting Life
I pause for a moment from my daily tasks to let God speak to my heart.
Benedict XVI said that โThe Church has a responsibility toward creation (โฆ), she must not only defend the earth, water, and air as gifts of creation that belong to everyone. Above all, she must protect humanity from self-destruction.โ (Caritas in Veritate, no. 51).
I thank you, Lord, for teaching me that your gaze upon reality is not passive, but always acts to promote Life. Therefore, I ask you to help me โtake care in the use and management of water,โ for by caring for it, I protect the most vulnerable and defend their dignity.
I conclude by saying the monthly prayer.
