WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
A new day begins
As the new day begins, I lift up my heart and my desires to you.
I make Pope Leoโs concern my own: โWe are becoming accustomed to violence, we resign ourselves to it, and we grow indifferent. Indifferent to the deaths of thousands of people. Indifferent to the repercussions of hatred and division that conflicts sow. Indifferent to the economic and social consequences they produce, which we all perceive.โ
Today I resolve to be a peacemaker with you. Today I want to care for life, the lives of those close to me, especially the most vulnerable. Just as you, Lord, care for me, I want to be a reflection of those flames of ardent tenderness that spring from your Heart.
To that end, I offer my daily offering prayer and join the Popeโs intention for this month.
