WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
The Baptism of the Lord
Today, on the feast of the Baptism of the Lord, you are invited to join the whole Church in contemplating Jesus as He is immersed in the waters of the Jordan. He, the beloved Son of the Father, shows His solidarity with all humanity.
“And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my beloved Son; with whom I am well pleased’” (Mk 1:11).
By receiving Baptism, Jesus establishes a new relationship between God and humanity.
Ask the Lord to help you recognize your identity as a beloved child of God and to live this day with that awareness.
Offer Him your desire to renew your baptismal promises and to welcome His Spirit, who enables you to live in His love.
Ask the Lord to accept your prayer of offering.
