WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Always Forgive
As I begin this new day, I prepare myself for my encounter with You, Lord, asking You for the grace to know how to forgive.
“Then Peter went to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother if he wrongs me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.’” Mt. 18:21–35
As I listen to your Word, Lord, I see that you teach this from your own experience of always forgiving from the heart. May the experience of your constant forgiveness toward me—every time I seek you and allow myself to be reconciled by you—lead me, freely, to know how to forgive my brother or sister. Give me, Lord Jesus, a compassionate and merciful heart like yours.
I offer my day to the Lord.
