WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Stewards of God’s Work
I pause for a moment to reflect on the words of Pope John Paul II:
“In the pages of Genesis, which recount God’s self-revelation to humanity (Gen 1–3), the words ‘And God saw that it was good’ are repeated like a refrain.
But when God, having created the heavens and the sea, the earth, and all that it contains, creates man and woman, the expression changes markedly: ‘God saw all that he had made, and it was very good’ (Gen 1:31). God entrusted the rest of creation to man and woman, and then—as we read—He was able to rest “from all His work of creation” (Gen 2:3).
I continue my day caring for what God has entrusted to me, including the gift of water.
