WITH JESUS IN THE MORNING
Help me to see
As you begin this day, ask Jesus for the grace of seeing with the heart.
โRabbuni, help me to seeโ (Mk 10:46โ52).
Like Bartimaeus, recognize your blindness when you walk past the suffering of others, when you accept inequality as normal, or when you treat bread as if there were plenty to go around. Ask Him to touch you with His mercy so that you may look reality in the faceโthe reality of those who count their coins to eat, those who work the land, and those who wait for a helping hand.
Offer Him your day so that your decisions may be more just, more prudent, and more compassionate. Amen.
