WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Environmental responsibility
I pause for a moment to be alone with the Lord and listen to His voice.
I recall the words of Pope John Paul II: “There is, therefore, an urgent need to educate people in environmental responsibility: responsibility toward ourselves and others, responsibility toward the environment… The primary educator, however, is the family, where children learn to respect their neighbors and love nature.”
What kind of education did I receive at home about ethical responsibility? How should I educate my family today about love for others and love for nature?
I conclude with the prayer of the month, committing myself to educating the younger generations to value and protect water.
