WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
Inner and External Desert
I stand before you, Lord, to examine whether I have fulfilled your call to work in your vineyard.
Pope Francis told us: ‘Let us then heed the call to stand alongside the victims of environmental and climate injustice, and to put an end to this senseless war against creation. We see the effects of this war in the many rivers that are drying up. “External deserts are multiplying in the world because internal deserts have spread,” Benedict XVI once said. Predatory consumerism, fueled by selfish hearts, is disrupting the planet’s water cycle.”
In my daily water consumption, do I allow my heart to be moved by the reality of people who lack access to water?
I conclude with the monthly prayer.
