WITH JESUS DURING THE DAY
God's Collaborators
I am taking a moment for rest and reflection, drawing on the words of Pope Benedict XVI:
“Everything that exists belongs to God, who has entrusted it to humankind, but not so that they may dispose of it randomly. On the contrary, when man, instead of fulfilling his role as God’s collaborator, supplants Him, he ends up provoking the rebellion of nature, ‘which is more tyrannized than governed by him.’ Thus, man has the duty to exercise responsible stewardship over creation, protecting and cultivating it.”
In caring for water, have I been God’s collaborator, or have I acted in His place?
I continue with my day and with my duty to God and others in caring for water.
